Insurance Information

Insurance Information

At the Orthopedic Center of Venice, we are committed to making high-quality orthopedic care accessible to our patients. We work with many major insurance providers and encourage patients to verify their specific plan benefits and network participation before their appointment.

Our office currently accepts many major insurance plans, including:

  • United Healthcare

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Humana

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • Veterans Affairs

  • Workers' Compensation

  • Auto Insurance Claims

Insurance participation may vary depending on your specific plan. Coverage, referrals, authorizations, deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance are determined by your insurance carrier.

If you have questions regarding insurance coverage, our staff is happy to assist you. We also recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm benefits prior to your visit.

Referral & Authorization Requirements

Referral & Authorization Requirements

Some insurance plans require referrals or prior authorizations before specialty orthopedic care can be provided.

HMO Plans

Patients with HMO insurance plans must obtain any required referrals and authorizations from their Primary Care Physician (PCP) prior to their appointment.

Due to the requirements of many HMO plans, patients should begin by contacting their PCP to ensure all necessary referrals and authorizations are in place before receiving orthopedic services.

Failure to obtain required referrals or authorizations may result in appointment delays, rescheduling, or financial responsibility for services rendered.

PPO Plans

Most PPO plans do not require a referral to see an orthopedic specialist. However, patients should verify their individual plan requirements directly with their insurance carrier.

Workers’ Compensation & Auto Injury Claims

Workers’ Compensation & Auto Injury Claims

Our office evaluates and treats orthopedic injuries related to workers' compensation and motor vehicle accidents.

Patients seeking care under workers' compensation or auto insurance should provide all claim information, adjuster contact information, and authorization documents prior to their appointment whenever possible.

Please contact our office if you have questions regarding workers' compensation or accident-related orthopedic care.

Self-Pay Patients

Patients without insurance coverage are welcome.

Self-pay rates are available for office visits and services. Please contact our office for current pricing and payment information.

Financial Hardship Considerations

We understand that medical expenses can create financial challenges for some patients.

Requests for financial hardship consideration may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Patients with concerns regarding payment are encouraged to contact our office prior to their appointment.

Payment Policy

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

Patients are responsible for:

  • Copayments

  • Deductibles

  • Coinsurance amounts

  • Non-covered services

  • Outstanding balances

For your convenience, payment is collected at the time of your visit whenever applicable.
