Our Team

Dr. Julio Gonzalez went to medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine and accepted a commission to the United States Naval Reserve where he served as a Flight Surgeon for Carrier Air Wing 1.

In 1995, he continued his training at the University of Florida’s University Medical Center in Jacksonville. He then moved with his wife, Dr. Gina Arabitg, to Orlando where he pursued post-graduate training in knee reconstructive and shoulder surgery before joining the practices of doctors Baker, Heard, Osteen, and Davenport.

In 2004, Dr. Gonzalez relocated with his family to Venice, Florida, where he founded the Orthopaedic Center of Venice.

Dr. Jason Collins grew up in Southwest Florida. He attended medical school at New York University and completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.

Throughout his career he has treated numerous professional athletes and has worked as an associate physician for the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers.

Dr. Collins has been named the “Best of North Port, Orthopaedic Surgeon” twice by Sun Newspapers. He has also served as clinical faculty for FSU College of Medicine.

Dr. Collins specializes in Sports Medicine and lives in Sarasota with his wife and two young boys.
