Founder • Orthopedic SurgeonJulio Gonzalez attended medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine before accepting a commission in the United States Naval Reserve, where he served as a Flight Surgeon for Carrier Air Wing 1.
In 1995, Dr. Gonzalez continued his training at the University of Florida’s University Medical Center in Jacksonville before pursuing advanced training in knee reconstructive and shoulder surgery in Orlando. In 2004, he relocated with his family to Venice, Florida, where he founded the Orthopaedic Center of Venice.

Jason Collins, M.D.
Orthopedic Surgeon • Sports MedicineJason Collins grew up in Southwest Florida and attended medical school at New York University. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and specializes in Sports Medicine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Collins has treated numerous professional athletes and served as an associate physician for the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers. He has twice been named “Best of North Port, Orthopaedic Surgeon” by Sun Newspapers and has also served as clinical faculty for Florida State University College of Medicine.
